The beautiful, colourful bounty from our St. James Community Garden which will be delivered to the Food Bank. Fresh, healthy produce! But did you know that the tomatoes can be frozen whole and used in the winter to make a tomato puree? and the khale can also be frozen, and after frozen, be broken into “chips” which can be used in healthy smoothies and soups? There will be another harvest of potatoes and squash which can be stored and used over the winter months.
We send prayers of Thanksgiving to the Milroy family, Carol, Jamie, Candy, and the other workers who helped with this charitable endeavour.
“The Lord will open the heavens, His abundant storehouse, to send rain on your land in season and to bless the all work of your hands.” Deuteronomy 28:12
